My understanding is that the only reason he didn't shoot 28 Weeks Later is because of conflicts with him shooting Sunshine and when he did become available for second unit. Over 180 months later, some fans are still expecting 28 Months Later, while others have had their hopes die a violent, bloody death.

I still think there's so much life left in this series and it could go a good number of films yet. I dont know whether it will happen. Although it's a bit of a shame it won't be in Paris (as I think that could potentially be a great atmosphere for this thing) I'm still highly anticipating the flick if it's set in Russia. Anti-vaxxers spread fake news about infections at protests actually being government sectioned executions, causing their members to multiply. But this third idea is actually more to do with Russia, but thats actually all I can say, said Boyle. The second film hints that it gets to France eventually, and wipes out the French. Thursday 3 November 2022 Danny Boyle has hinted that his 2002 zombie apocalypse horror 28 Days Later could be getting another sequel. As of July 15, four transport clusters had been identified in Paris, accounting for roughly 1 of 386 total clusters, according to data from the agency. That doesn't actually seem to be the plan at all. You all remember how 28 Weeks Later ended right? It hinted towards the infection traveling oversea's to France and we all expected 28 Months Later to focus around the invasion of the virus to Paris.
